My love for FASHION came when I was a little girl. I examined each of my mom's magazines & picked apart every page of Vogue. I paid special attention to the variations of Beauty, Style & Art. It was the Virginia Slims models that really inspired me & I knew at that time that I was beautiful, stylish and artistic. I studied Fine Arts from grade school through high school. I graduated from Booker T. Washington, the highly acclaimed Performing Arts High School where I specialized in Theatre. As Dallas' Arts District started to thrive, an amazing mural of FINE ART was created on the back side of a downtown parking garage. I am proud to say that I am one of the beautiful images on this enormous piece of art.
I moved to Atlanta GA to attend Clark Atlanta University. While there I worked full time for Nordstrom in the B.P. department. I learned the Art of selling, exceptional service and building lasting relationships. After a short time I excelled and became the Denim Striker, where I was responsible for merchandising and maintianing the visuals in the Denim area. My creativity & selling abilities stood out because of my Passion for Fashion, my diverse Arts background and outgoing personality.
When I returned to Dallas, I began designing and making by hand, customized, precious stone jewelry named Z by Ze-Enna. My prices range from low to moderate and are made with unique authentic stones. All pieces are one of a kind, so no two people will ever have the same Z stone. I've enjoyed my career in Broadcast Media and since my career was far from my passion, I pride myself in balancing the Fashion-World (including my jewelry) with my life in Corporate America.
In 2011, I was offered an opportunity to work for NBC Universal in NYC!!! Although I was not physically prepared to move to NY, my heart was! So I took the risk & stepped out on faith. I broadened my knowledge in Cable Operations as well as Pricing & Planning. I'm so grateful for the incredible NBC Universal opportunity. It meant more to me than a career in Media. It has given me a chance to live my dream in Fashion, Art & Community.
I'm told by many that my light shines bright. Hearing that motivates me to KEEP GOING, aim HIGH and make a difference in someone's life. I look forward to doing great things and inspire others along the way. I'm moved by people and their stories. I'm driven by the beautiful struggle & unlimited possibilities. I am a doer; I'm an emerging leader! Everyday is a school day, so I stay open to learning new things and continuously seek personal and professional development. Social justice, politics and community engagement are really important to me. I believe in dreams, serving the community and being your authentic self. If I had to describe myself in three words they would be EXOTIC, POSITIVE & BEAUTIFUL. Thank you for visiting my site! Please enjoy and I look forward to hearing from you.
